Upset Alert: Tennessee leading No. 11 South Carolina at half

The South Carolina Gamecocks are on upset alert. The No. 11 Gamecocks are on the road against the unranked Tennessee Volunteers, and going on the road to get a win is not an easy task in the SEC. But you could say that it isn’t even close really. Tennessee is currently leading by a score of 17-7 at half time.’

South Carolina scored first with a field goal just short of mid-way through the first quarter and held that three-point lead for the entire first quarter. Just as the second quarter got under way, South Carolina scored a touchdown to pull ahead. It was a 76-yard touchdown pass from Connor Shaw to Damiere Byrd.

Then the Volunteers turned it on. They marched down the field on the next possession to score on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Justin Worley to Alton Howard. After the Volunteers defense held the South Carolina offense to a three and out, they were on the move again on their next possession.
