USC WR Marqise Out The Rest of the Game

The superstar wide receiver for USC suffered a knee injury that will keep him out the rest of the game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  The Trojans are taking on the Irish in South Bend, which is just beginning the third quarter.  Notre Dame is currently up 14-10.  In a year where it seems that everything that could have gone wrong has, losing Lee for any length of time is a difficult pill to swallow.  The Trojans have talent but he has been their biggest play maker the past two seasons.

Not only does this impact both Lee and USC for now, but could potentially impact his draft status.  Considering that the Trojans are now on their interim head coach in Ed Orgeron, it is difficult to imagine that Lee would plan on sticking around for another year.  Lee projects as one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL Draft, provided he declares.  Most are projecting him as a first round pick, so hopefully the injury he has suffered will only keep him out this half and not have any long reaching impact.  Nevertheless, the Trojans fight on in the third quarter in hopes of claiming their fifth win of the year in their national rivalry game.
