College Football AP top 25 poll released: Florida State rises to No. 3

The updated AP Top 25 poll has been released after another full slate of college football action, and the top two teams remain the same. The Alabama Crimson Tide are a near unanimous favorite at No. 1, while the Oregon Ducks have a firm hold on No. 2.

One of the biggest winners from the updated rankings was the Florida State Seminoles, who rose to No. 3 thanks to their shellacking of the Clemson Tigers on the road.

Later tonight, we will get a look at the first BCS Rankings of the season, which will really give us an idea of who is in the driver’s seat for the 2013 national title race. The BCS rankings are released at 8:30 p.m. ET.
