There’s not much worse in basketball than being posterized or having your ankles broken by a nasty crossover. Thankfully, neither happened to San Antonio Spurs icon Tim Duncan, though he did find himself on the wrong end of a Dwyane Wade Eurostep on Saturday night.

In a rematch of the 2012-2013 NBA Finals, Wade took a pass towards the top of the key and drifted down towards a screen which put him a bit left of the key. Awaiting him was the crafty Duncan, who apparently thought Wade would drive into the teeth of the defense. And for a moment, it looked that way but a nasty Eurostep cleared the path for Wade who blew right by the Spurs’ Duncan, much to the appeasement of the Miami crowd.

If there was any saving grace for Duncan, at least it wasn’t a nationally televised game, though there are bastards like me who point it out on the internet so it’ll live on forever.

Sorry Tim. Go pull off one of your patented bank shots with a dribble drive and we’ll repay the favor.
