UFC 166 was one of the best cards we have ever seen. The card was highlighted by incredible fights, finishes, unbelievable amount of  heart, and everything in between. Today, I look at the main card and break down who each man should fight next.

Cain Velasquez: Dana White has already stated that Fabricio Werdum would ‘likely’ get the next shot at Cain. Although Dana’s words are not always trustworthy, this is the only fight that makes sense. Fabricio is on a tear in the division, ranked #3, and is the only fighter worthy of a title shot. Some media members were hinting to the possibility of the two men fighting at UFC 169 on Super Bowl weekend. I found that to be extremely unlikely considering the type of fight Cain was in last night. He will likely look to take some time off, and we will see that fight in March or April.

Junior Dos Santos: This is a tough call considering a slew of heavyweights already have scheduled fights. Travis Browne and Josh Barnett, Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva, and Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem are all fighting each other respectively. That does not leave many options for Dos Santos. The only man without a fight in the top 10 is Stipe Miocic. Would the UFC give Miocic a shot at Dos Santos? My opinion is that if Antonio Silva or Alistair Overeem wins their respective fights, one of them will fight Dos Santos. If both of those men lose, a fight with Miocic makes the most sense.
