Now that the Government Shutdown is over, President Barack Obama has decided that it is ok to get back on the golf course. I know It would bother me to  have the entire country on an economic shutdown, and be out enjoying myself at the local links. And it was! The President got out on Sunday afternoon for a few holes in Ft Belvoir, Virginia with White House aides, Sam Kass, Mike Brush, and Marvin Nicholson. Of course, we weren’t privy to who had the low score in the foursome, but how do you beat the President of the United States? And brag about it!

Golf analyst links Tiger Woods to cheatin

I’m guessing that if you choose to call the number one golfer in the world a cheater, there will be some repercussions. Golf Channel analyst, Brandel Chamblee has elected to do just that, he and The Golf Channel will have to live with the aftermath!

"In my opinion, Chamblee is to Golf Channel what Johnny Miller is to NBC. He is outspoken and not afraid to rough up the players if he believes they deserve it. This would be his most explosive opinion yet, and it will be interesting to see what the repercussions will be for him and Golf Channel. Woods has had some pretty cozy relationships with reporters there in the past. Maybe not anymore."

Golfer who broke window gets ‘shotgun finish’

Come on folks, there has to be a better way to solve this kind of problem on the golf course. Everyone who plays golf knows that you are responsible for your ball. If you break a window on the course, you need to get your check book out. On the other hand , if you live on a golf course, you have to know, it’s not a matter if you will get a window broken, but when will you get a window broken.

"Deputy District Attorney Sean Neahusan said other residents along the golf course were stunned, because it’s common for stray golf balls to hit their homes.”Live on a golf course and you got to expect your house to get hit every once in a while,” he told The Associated Press. ”This (shooting) is one of those stories that you just can’t make it up.”"

This article from Golf.com has a lot of great content, but the speculation the PGA may play the PGA Championship someplace other than here in the good ole USA, lends further creedence to what I have been writing for over a year now. Professional golf and the PGA Tour is quickly becoming a world Tour, and will undoubtedly start taking on some of the characteristics of the LPGA. Probably sooner, than later!

McIlroy misses out amid bizarre finish in Korea

Starting the day 10 strokes back, McIlroy put on a masterclass tee-to-green but endured another difficult day on the greens as he signed for a four-under-par 67 and was left wondering what might have been.

"“I could have shot anything, absolutely anything. I only missed two greens and had so many chances, but it was like the story of yesterday – I just didn’t hole enough putts,” the 24-year-old Northern Irishman told reporters."
