Browns Open Door to Possible Quarterback Switch

Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski has at least opened the door to the possibility of benching quarterback Brandon Weeden.  After last week where the suggestions put down immediately, he would not name a quarterback in his press conference today.  After another putrid performance from Weeden and a loss to the Green Bay Packers, the Browns seem to be looking at all options.  It is unclear if a better option is available be it Jason Campbell or someone not currently on the roster.

The Browns had some solid play in two games from Brian Hoyer before he went down with an ACL tear and Weeden has been simply dreadful when he has been in the game.

The Browns seem to be trying to spin it like they can fix the issues with Weeden, but the fact is the Browns may be simply be treading water for another nine games before they can make a move to add another quarterback in the NFL Draft.  With what is likely to be a quarterback picked early in the draft, likely the first round, they will have that quarterback as well as Hoyer who they hope will be recovered enough to compete for the starting job next year.

The Browns currently sit at 3-4 and have to prepare to play the Kansas City Chiefs this week before hosting the Baltimore Ravens before they get to their bye week.
