The most important day thus far in the life of a Whovian is almost here. Just over 30 days from today, BBC One will air the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special. On November 23rd, the longtime running sci-fi classic’s official birthday, the episode entitled ‘The Day of the Doctor’ will air. The 50th Anniversary episode will star current Doctor, Matt Smith, his companion Clara, played by Jenna Coleman, and will feature a mysterious new Doctor, being played by Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’s John Hurt.

Returning to the series will be the 10th Doctor, played by Broadchurch’s David Tennant, and his companion Rose Tyler, played by Secret Diary of a Call Girl’s Billie Piper.

Both Tennant and Piper have not appeared on the sci-fi hit series since saying their goodbyes in 2010 during the episode entitled ‘The End of Time: Part 2’ that saw the 10th Doctor leaving his beloved Rose Tyler at Bad Wolf Bay for the very last time.

While there is no actual footage from the episode in the trailer, it is still a very stylish adventure throughout the years highlighting each of the 11 Doctors thus far.
