Saturday night was not what a lot of people expected. Florida State and Clemson was billed all week as the next edition of the ‘Game of the Century’ and was expected to be a battle between two giants in college football.
Well, when it was all said and done, the Seminoles had absolutely mauled the Tigers by a final score of 51-14. It was basically pure domination from start to finish.
Now, a lot of that was due in large part to the performance of Florida State’s Heisman-contending, redshirt freshman quarterback Jameis Winston, who showed the nation what he’s all about. In his first huge test on a national stage, Winston wowed everyone with his showing, going 22-of-34 for 444 yards and three touchdowns. He basically had his way with that tough-nosed Clemson defense.
Winston’s performance was almost assassin-like in nature, as he was continually firing off kill-shots.
Or, as @LSUFreek points out, it was more a little something like this:
In case you were one of the few that missed Saturday’s events, this is basically what happened, yes.
