Sources like Entertainment Weekly are reporting that Oscar nominated actor Josh Brolin may be in talks to star in the upcoming film Jurassic World.

The film is being directed by Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow. A screenplay is currently being developed by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, Trevorrow’s Safety Not Guaranteed partner.

There are already a handful of people rumored to be attached to the project. One of them is Twilight actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Also rumored to be a part of the cast is Iron Man 3’s Ty Simpkins. The Kings of Summer’s Nick Robinson is also rumored to be joining the cast as Simpkins’ older brother.

There are not many details readily available regarding the plotline or the characters in the film.

Brolin has a number of films scheduled to be released over the course of the next year; the first of which is the aforementioned Oldboy. After that is the follow up to 2005’s Sin City, entitled Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Then, he will play someone named Bigfoot Bjornsen in the 70’s era cop drama Inherent Vice.

It will be interesting to see how this film fares at the Box Office. Its predecessors have earned over a combined $812.7 million dollars in the U.S.

Jurassic World is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2015.
