Nerlens Noel may miss entire 2013-14 season

This can’t be happening to the Philadelphia 76ers again, but it looks like it is. In the season directly following the campaign that Andrew Bynum sat out, rookie center Nerlens Noel may miss all of the 2013-14 season according to head coach Brett Brown. He ended up in Philadelphia when the New Orleans Pelicans traded their No. 6 overall pick and a 2014 first round pick to the Sixers for Jrue Holiday.

Noel is coming off an ACL injury in February of 2013 while he was still playing for the Kentucky Wildcats. Coach Brown did say that it isn’t a setback, just that he is progressing slowly and his recovery isn’t as quick as anticipated or hoped for.

That can be viewed as some kind of silver lining. If it was a setback, and the injury had gotten worse that could lead to even more complications.
