The season is only a few weeks old, so this list of possible 2014 NHL free agents is very fluid at this point. Any day now the Vancouver Canucks could lock up Daniel and Henrik Sedin. The New York Rangers could start securing their high-end free agents once they start winning hockey games.

Circumstances alter cases, for sure. As it stands right now though, these ten guys won’t have contracts come July 1, 2014 and will hit the open  market for all teams to bid on. If we’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that good players tend to fetch more via free agency than they do when they stick with their old clubs.

They’re like cat nip, and owners and general managers just can’t seem to help going nuts and losing track of all things that make sense. These are the ten players that would fetch the most interest if they hit the market.
