Red Sox fan buys World Series ticket for $6 (Photo)

The St. Louis Cardinals will take on the Boston Red Sox in the World Series set to begin on Wednesday. It is clearly a hot ticket in Boston and tickets are going for ridiculous prices on resale sites. So when this Red Sox fan logged on to Stub Hub and found a ticket for $6 he jumped at the opportunity to buy the ticket and didn’t ask questions.

I’m assuming that when the seller went to type in the dollar amount he typed in 300 which made it $3.00, instead of typing in 30000, which would’ve made it $300.00. Damn decimals.

Now I bet you’re saying, Michael I thought it was for $6. Well the ticket cost $3, but Stub Hub’s fees and delivery services tacked on another $3. That’s right, this ticket was just $3. Probably far less than face value.

Nevertheless I bet the seller is incredibly pissed off. The cheapest ticket in that section is now listed at $759, to give you sand idea of how big of a steal this kid got. What a great story though, getting to go to a World Series game at a bargain basement price.

In case you’re doubting the authenticity of his story, he included a picture of the ticket.
