Every year, NBA general managers are polled on a handful of questions for the upcoming season and the results are tallied together to form a survey. This year, it’s no different though it’s clear, fellow NBA GM’s are quite impressed with the Miami Heat and LeBron James, who both ran away with the answers.
Almost 76 percent of general managers around the league voted that the Heat will win the 2013-14 NBA Championship while 69 percent suggested that LeBron will come home with the regular season MVP-trophy. More than that, almost 90 percent said they would take James if they were starting a franchise while Kevin Durant, who placed second, was given a paltry 7 percent of the vote.
Moving past the Heat and James, Anthony Davis was voted most likely to have a breakout season while the Houston Rockets were credited with making the best offseason moves.
Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic was the overwhelming favorite to win Rookie of the Year, claiming 80 percent of the vote while the Golden State Warriors were voted as the most fun team to watch with 41 percent.
