Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant was the league-leader in scoring in the NBA during the the 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons, is the favorite to win his fourth scoring title this season. Durant, who finished second in the 2012-13 season, averaging 28.1 points per game. With point guard Russell Westbrook, the league’s sixth leading scorer last season, not expected to be ready to start his season for another few weeks, Durant should carry the load.

The league leader in points per game last season, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, has the second best odds at 3/1. Anthony averaged 28.7 points per game last season.

The four-time NBA MVP, LeBron James is next with 7/2 odds. James, who finished fourth, averaging 26.8 points per game, is by far the most efficient of all of the top scorers. With guard Dwyane Wade continuing to decline, James could up his average.

Rounding out the top five are Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant (8/1) and a pair of point guards, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors (both players have 14/1 odds).
