Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley was taken off the field on a stretcher in Week 7 after suffering a bruised spinal chord and it is very possible that his season will be coming to an end soon. According to reports, the Packers are preparing to place Finley on the injured reserve list so that he can focus all of his attention on his recovery.

From Ed Werder of ESPN:

This is the second head/neck injury for Finley this season, which is never comforting, so he needs to do everything he can to make sure he is worrying about his health and not football.

The good news is that this is not expected to be career-threatening, so we could see him back on the field next season.

In the meantime, we continue to send our thoughts and well wishes to Finley and hope that he has a full and speedy recovery.
