Samsung to give Galaxy Note 3 to 2014 Sochi Olympic athletes

Samsung is one of the best smartphone producers on the market and their new devices, the Samsung Galaxy Note III, could soon be very popular in Russia. Samsung will be a big part of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, and all athletes that compete in the games will be getting a nice little gift.

The Galaxy Note III was named the official phone of the 2014 games and then the news was dropped that all athletes would be receiving the device:

The IOC will provide Samsung GALAXY Note 3, the official Olympic phone, to all Sochi 2014 athletes to enjoy, capture and share their Olympic Games experience in a smarter way through innovative technology.

That’s a pretty solid perk.

If competing in the Olympics and representing your country wasn’t already enough to get the athletes excited for Sochi, perhaps the free Galaxy Note III can do the trick. I know my Galaxy Note II is a little outdated, so I could use an upgrade. It’s just a shame that I am not an Olympic level athlete.
