While the UFC has yet to make an official announcement, multiple news outlets are reporting that Japanese mixed martial arts star Tatsuya Kawajiri has signed with the top promotion in the world.

Kawajiri is hoping to make his UFC debut at featherweight, on the January 4 card in Singapore.

The Japanese star has an impressive record at 32-7-2 and he has yet to taste defeat since dropping to the 145-pound division.

The last loss for Kawajiri came back in 2011, when he was defeated for the Strikeforce title in a bout against Gilbert Melendez, who recently fought at UFC 166 in what many are calling the fight of the year against Diego Sanchez.

If Kawajiri can continue his success inside of the octagon, he should be able to set himself up for a title with just a few wins.
