Texas A&M Aggies WR Mike Evans likely to enter 2014 NFL Draft

The Texas A&M Aggies will likely lose their Heisman-winning quarterback to the NFL next year, as Johnny Manziel has made it no secret he plans on declaring for next May’s NFL Draft and being done with college as soon as possible.

His top receiver may also be leaving for greener pastures this offseason as well, as Mike Evans is reportedly already telling people around the Aggies program that’s he’s likely to declare too this offseason.

Per Draft insider Tony Pauline:

Texas A&M red-sophomore Mike Evans, also a week three riser, turned in another dominant performance on Saturday, with Auburn victimized this time around.  Evans numbers were a jaw-dropping 11 receptions, 287-yards and 4 touchdowns.  Sources close to the program told me late last week word is Evans will enter the draft.  If true don’t be surprised if he’s the first receiver off the board next April.

Evans opened the eyes of everyone to his skills in Week 3 vs Alabama when he caught 7 passes for 279 yards and 1 touchdown against one of the best defenses in the nation
