Another round of UEFA Champions League games wrapped up on Tuesday and there was some movement in the tables among the shocking results. Upsets and road wins were the theme of the day. Arsenal’s woes against German teams continued as Borussia Dortmund got a win in London. Napoli went to France and upset Marseille. Zenit went to Portugal and got a slim win over FC Porto. Atletico Madrid got a win in Austria.
In fact, only one home team won. Celtic defeated Ajax Amsterdam in Scotland. There were two draws between Bucaresti and Basel, and AC Milan and Barcelona.
Chelsea moved to the top of Group E with their win over Schalke and just three games left in group play. They both have 6 points but Chelsea has the goal differential edge. With Napoli and Dortmund’s win, three teams in Group F have 6 points leaving that group up for grabs.
Atletico Madrid took a commanding 5 point lead with three games left with a win over Austria Vienna. They’re the only team in the group with a positive goal differential as well. Barcelona and AC Milan stayed atop the Group H table with a draw.
