When we last heard from Jarrett Jack, he was reportedly going to be sidelined for 10 days as a result of inflammation in his knee. However, it’s been just a shade under 10 days since that diagnosis (read: nine), and it appears that Jack will be taking the court in an interesting role for the Cavs on Wednesday night.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer is reporting (see above) that Jack will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards, and he’ll be joined by Kyrie Irving in a small-ball backcourt. According to multiple reports, Irving will start at the shooting guard spot, but that is more logistical than anything, and each player will assuredly have ball-handling responsibilities.

In the off-season, the 29-year-old Jack commanded 4 years and $24 million in free agency, and expectations are high for him (and the team) in Cleveland. It will be extremely intriguing to see how he fares next to Irving (in addition to how healthy he looks), and the Cavs have several new and/or moving parts (Anthony Bennett, Andrew Bynum, etc.) to integrate in a short amount of time.

Stay tuned for more as it comes in, but it appears as if the Cavs will be at near full-strength at last.
