Florida Gators lose 8th player as LB Jeremi Powell tears acl

The Florida Gators are having one of the worst injury stricken seasons in recent memory. They lost their 8th player to a season ending injury on Saturday in reserve linebacker Jeremi Powell, according to Gator’s coach Will Muschamp.

Unfortunate for him,” Muschamp said. “He’s a guy who was really emerging special teams-wise.”

The injury was a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament for Powell, who was injured after trying to block a punt at Missouri on Saturday. Powell will have surgery on his ACL in the near future.
