The Houston Astros, like their former division rival Chicago Cubs, are in rebuild mode and continue to get younger when it comes to talent on the field.

If you want to have a successful ball club, you need to have a staff of coaches who have what it takes to mold young baseball players into guys this league will fear.

Well, Houston has finalized their 2014 field staff according to MLB.com and it looks like the following.

Brent Strom will take over as pitching coach, Pat Listach will man first base, Craig Bjornson will run the bullpen, Ralph Dickenson will become the hitting coach.

Former third base coach Dave Trembley will take over the bench coach position after spending the entire 2013 season at third base. He’ll take the spot of Eduardo Perez who will move from bench coach to third base coach in the staff swap.

Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow believes this coaching staff can hopefully turn this club around. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have put this unit together.
