Knicks' Metta World Peace in movie with Screech from Saved by the Bell (Video)

Ron Artest, better known now as Metta World Peace loves all aspects of the entertainment business. Hell, his job in the NBA is partially being an entertainment figure (in the Dennis Rodman type mold) – some might say that ranks above his job as a basketball player.

Either way, MWP loves to get his mitts on anything involved with music or film, which is why his addition to a motion picture isn’t all that shocking. The script and cast though, is.

The New York Knicks forward is joining former Saved by the Bell cast member, Screech Powers (Dustin Diamond) along with rapper (well, like a decade ago) Eve in what looks to be a mash-up of The Hangover and Hall Pass.

The trailer to the film features World Peace sitting in a chair, asking who threw a drink – an obvious ode to his famed Malice at the Palace moment when he was a member of the Indiana Pacers.

At least MWP can have fun with it, though, judging by the plot of this film, fun is probably not what you’re going to have watching it.
