Texas Rangers’ bullpen coach Andy Hawkins will meet with the Baltimore Orioles

It’s that glorious time of the year where managers and coaches all across the league are scrambling to find promotions or at least the same job with either a different organization of their current one.

Texas Rangers bullpen coach Andy Hawkins, who has been with the team for the last five seasons, is currently in search of picking up a job as a pitching coach in the big leagues. He’s spent some time with the Maddux Brothers who know everything there is about pitching.

So working with two guys like that, should surely look great on his resume. According to the Texas Rangers blog, the Baltimore Orioles are interested in Hawkins.

The 53 year old bullpen coach is just one among a group of others that include Carl Willis, Rich Dubee and Dave Wallace.

All could give him a run for his money for the position, but you can’t overlook the fact that he’s been working with the Maddux duo for awhile.
