There is another round of Champions League soccer to be played to day and that makes it a great day. Groups A through D will play today, and there are some interesting match ups and marquee clubs playing.

Manchester United takes on Real Sociedad and will get the highest visibility state-side simply because it has Manchester United in it. They’re playing a team that is still looking for their first points, and coming away from Old Trafford with one point will be difficult.

Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen are playing, for Americans these are probably two lesser known clubs but I always enjoy watching games involving the Turkish side. They have an incredible crowd and atmosphere.

The marquee match of the day though is clearly Real Madrid’s tilt with Juventus. Two powerful clubs in top European Leagues. It has the star power you’d hope for with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in some capacity for Madrid, and Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez for Juventus.

Juventus coming into the Bernabeu and getting a win seems incredibly unlikely and would qualify as a huge upset. It isn’t impossible though and this could be a very entertaining game. They’ve cruised through the group so far with a 6-1 win over Galatasaray and a 4-0 win over FC Copenhagen. This will be their first real challenge of group play.
