Temperatures for Game 1 of the 2013 World Series are expected to dip into the 30′s this evening in Boston, crisp but not bone chilling. But outside of that, the weather is expected to be pleasant, this after a small group of cells peppered the greater Boston area with rain showers on Tuesday night.
The sprinkles weren’t enough to keep both the St. Louis Cardinals or Red Sox off the field for practice, though it did give the two squads a beautiful backdrop as they prepared for the Fall Classic.
As the Red Sox were taking fielding and batting practice on Tuesday evening, the cloudy skies from earlier in the day began to break apart and a stunning rainbow appeared over the outfield wall. Completely vivid in color, the rainbow lasted for the vast majority of the workout before the team needed to call it quits for the night.
The Autumn rainbow could be seen for miles, though, made for a spectacular curtain for the Sox’s pre-World Series warmups.
