49ers Jim Harbaugh interested in British television

In case you haven’t heard, the San Francisco 49ers are playing the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London.

Jim Harbaugh participated in a press conference with the British sports media on Wednesday and according to a report from CSNBayArea.com’s Matt Maiocco, the head coach had a few questions for them.

“I have a question for you,” Harbaugh said. “Is Foyle’s War, is that coming back? Does anybody know anything about that?”

“I just love that show,” Harbaugh said. “I’ve watched them all. Big fan – Michael Kitchen and Honeysuckle Weeks. Did I get that right?”

“(I’ve) seen them all. I was kind of hoping there’d be a return to the show. Anybody know?”

Well, that’s one way to assimilate with the locals I guess.  Nobody in the room knew though, apparently.

Foyle’s War is described on IMDB: “As World War II rages around the world, a police inspector fights his own war on the home-front in investigating murder, robbery, and espionage on the south coast of England.”

Sounds like an interesting show, though I must admit I’d never heard of it.  “Honeysuckle” has to be a stage name though, right?

San Francisco sits at 5-2 on the year, one game behind the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West.
