Allen Craig had no issues during last night’s loss against the Red Sox

To be honest, I was a little surprised to know that Craig was going to play in the World Series.

We haven’t seen him in action since suffering that fracture in his foot back in early September. Craig seemed determined to get rehab done and over with so he can make it in time for the World Series, and that’s exactly what he did.

I wouldn’t doubt it if his injured right foot was one of many concerns when it came to his teammates, manager and training staff. Of course, Craig finished the game and went 1 for 4 with a single that got between both Dustin Pedroia and Stephen Drew.

After the game he spoke to reporters and said:

“I felt good to be out there, take some at-bats and be a part of a World Series. I’m going to be aggressive. I’d rather err on that side than be passive. It’s just reading the situation for what it was.” Allen Craig via MLB.com.

Craig will be in the lineup tonight in Game 2, more than likely at the designated hitters spot once again.
