‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Jamie Dornan to Replace Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey

It would seem that the search for the next Christian Grey has come to its end. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Irish actor Jamie Dornan has been cast as the brooding, young billionaire with a very well hidden dark side, Christian Grey.

Two weeks ago when Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim actor Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the upcoming Focus/Universal film adaption of E.L. James’ bestselling novel ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, not just the production, but the fans went into a tailspin. Rumors of who would replace Hunnam ran rampant. Everyone from The Vampire DiariesIan Somerhalder to True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard, whether wittingly or unwittingly had their name thrown into the mix.

Dornan’s career started in front of the camera, but not necessarily the film kind. He has modeled for names like Dior, Armani, and even Calvin Klein.

He made his film debut in Sofia Coppola’s 2006 film Marie Antoinette.

Most people will probably recognize him from his latest television adventure. Most recently, he can be seen as Sheriff Graham in the first season of the ABC Series Once Upon A Time.

Dornan will play alongside actress Dakota Johnson, who has been cast as Christian Grey’s unlikely love interest Anastasia Steele.

The film is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Here is a look at Jamie Dornan in his role of Sheriff Graham from the hit ABC series Once Upon A Time.

Fifty Shades of Grey is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2014.
