After suffering a broken foot in the Week 1 victory over Louisiana Tech, NC State QB Brandon Mitchell will return to the lineup this Saturday when his team gets set to take on the second-ranked Florida State Seminoles on the road.

From what we’ve seen from both teams so far this year, it’s not going to be an easy task by any means, knocking off the Seminoles who absolutely tore apart Clemson this past Saturday in Death Valley. Even though many point to the ‘Pack upsetting the ‘Noles last year when they were a Top-5 team, these are two different teams this year.

But, Mitchell isn’t lacking confidence at all as he laid out what exactly the goal is on Saturday when they walk into Tallahassee:

“It fits what we’ve been preaching as a team – facing adversity,” Mitchell said. “We’re going in as a 28-point underdog, they have 300 former players coming back.  But we just want to go in there and ruin their plans.

Mitchell also cited his time at Arkansas, where he transferred in from prior to this season, as giving him some experience in this type of situation:

“I’ve played in big-time games against teams that won national championships and my teammates have beaten Florida State before so we have a lot of confidence here to play Florida State,”
