I can’t imagine the excitement for a kid when his Father (or Mother, or whomever) comes home and informs him that they’ll be attending a World Series game.

Obviously, it’s going to be a life-long memory that the kid will cherish. But imagine if that night ended by catching a home run from your favorite player? That was set to the be night of a young fan who was sitting with his father on top of the Green Monster this evening as the young boy was camped perfectly under Ortiz’s home run ball.

As the young boy watched for the ball to drop from the sky, he slowly began to raise his arms up when a man appeared out of no place over the top of the kid, leaning in, squishing him before he muffed the catch.

Thankfully, the ball bounced over the kid’s dad who grabbed the ball and was able to secure it for the youngster.
