College Football Week 9 Upset Alert: Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Penn State Nittany Lions haven’t had much success against the Ohio State Buckeyes lately, but that could all change on Saturday afternoon. Penn State has been on a roll in Big Ten play and they are coming off of a bye week, so they are well-rested and very prepared for the tough match up ahead.

Ohio State is undefeated and one of the top teams in the country, but they should consider themselves on upset alert this weekend when the Nittany Lions come rolling into town.

Penn State’s biggest win of the season would be a road victory that knocks Ohio State out of the national title picture, so you know they will be hoping for another impressive performance from freshman sensation Christian Hackenberg, who looks like the real deal and a kid who can lead Penn State to places they could have only dreamed of whenever they received sanctions from the NCAA.

The Nittany Lions are 14.5 underdogs, which seems a little outrageous when you consider how the Buckeyes have failed to blow away any quality opponents.

Look for Penn State to not only cover the spread, but to come up with a big performance against Ohio State. The Nittany Lions will keep it close throughout three quarters and then put together an impressive finish that we all saw they were capable of when they came storming back against the Michigan Wolverines.

Watch out, Ohio State, you are officially on upset alert.
