NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson can’t seemingly make up his mind when it comes to returning to the hardwood. One day he wants to coach. The next day he doesn’t. One day he believes he can coach, the next day he doubts it.
Clearly, the desire to get back out there burns deep but Jackson, who has had a variety of physical ailments, even dating back to his coaching days says the large reason behind him not returning to coaching is health related.
The former head coach of the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers recently took part in a sit down interview at the Alex Theatre in Glendale and said that he doesn’t feel he could physically coach again:
“I’m realistically thinking about the fact that I probably won’t be able to physically coach again,” Jackson said on “The Seth Davis Show.”
Jackson reportedly had a deal to join the ‘new’ Seattle Sonics front office had the Sacramento Kings relocated, though, that deal obviously fell apart when the Kings’ franchise was denied relocation and was kept in California.
