The Washington Redskins might have found their tight end of the future in rookie Jordan Reed. He is the team’s second leading receiver with 26 catches for 298 yards. He just came off a career game where he caught all nine passes headed his way for 134 yards and a touchdown.

ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski is high on Reed and raved about him.

“The guy will be sensational. He’s one of the guys that jumps off the tape at you,” Jaworski said, via ESPN. “I like to use the word flash. We saw a little bit of it earlier this season but clearly against Chicago I saw a lot more of it. We were talking here, he reminded us on the field of an Aaron Hernandez. He has that kind of wide receiver movement for a big guy.”

“This guy is going to scare the hell out of defenses. They can’t load up the box when you have the ability to get him down the field matched against linebackers and safeties. That’s a mismatch. He has a chance to be really good. We talk about splash plays; the splash plays against Chicago came from him. ”

Of course, he will probably be getting more opportunities now, but he needs to live up to that level of play and to be consistent from hear on out. Take away last week’s game and he has 17 catches for 164 yards through four games. Not horrible, but not incredible either.
