The Washington Huskies are going to try and snap a three-game losing streak this Saturday night when they take on the Cal Golden Bears.
Last week in that third loss to Arizona State, QB Keith Price aggravated a lingering thumb injury which held him out of practice for the majority of this week. Backup Cyler Miles was handling the first team snaps just in case he may have to make his first career start.
But, according to Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian, that might not be necessary as it seems that he fully expects Price to take the field this weekend.
“I’d be surprised if he didn’t play (Saturday),” Sarkisian said of Price. “We had a plan for today of what we wanted to get done on the field and then looking at the film as a staff. So stick to the plan. But just off of first glimpse, real time, I thought he looked really good.”
After a close loss against Stanford the beginning of this month, the Huskies have been blown out in the two games since by Oregon and Arizona State.
