After easily beating the Boise State Broncos 37-20 on Friday night to improve to 6-2 on the season, the BYU Cougars announced that they’ve accepted an invitation to play in the 2013 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. The game will be played on December 27 at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
Here’s BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe:
What an exciting opportunity for the Cougars to travel to the great city of San Francisco for the Fight Hunger Bowl and to play a strong opponent from the Pac-12. Our coaches, players and fans will love the holiday season in San Francisco. It’s great to be able to add to the wonderful bowl tradition that is long associated with BYU football (CBS Sports).
The Cougars, led by duel-threat quarterback Taysom Hill, have one of the best rushing attacks in college football. After a bye next week, the Cougars will face what may be their biggest test of the season when they take on the Wisconsin Badgers.
