College Football Week 9 upset alert: Vanderbilt Commodores at Texas A&M Aggies

After a huge upset win over the Georgia Bulldogs just one week ago, the Vanderbilt Commodores are hoping to continue their winning ways and deliver the nail in the coffin to the 2013 Texas A&M Aggies season.

Texas A&M had high hopes entering this season, but a stumble against the Auburn Tigers from a week ago has them well out of the national title picture.

If the Aggies lose a second straight game, they will have no chance at making a late surge and Johnny Manziel can officially kiss his hopes at repeating as a Heisman winner goodbye.

To complicate matters for Texas A&M, Manziel was banged up a week ago and there is no certainty about how he will be able to hold up.

If the Commodores are able to come out and put the pressure on Manziel early, they could knock the Aggies offense off of it’s rhythm and open up the opportunity to score a second straight upset.

When you take into account the star power at wide receiver for Vanderbilt with Jordan Matthews and the poor Texas A&M defense, this game could turn into an exciting shootout that ends with the last team to have the ball earning the big win.

Texas A&M is favored as they should be, but they are definitely on upset alert heading into Week 9.
