The Missouri Tigers go out every week and try to show everyone that they are indeed worthy of being called the best team in the SEC East. After already beating the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators, they’re out to do it once again tonight against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
And, they’re off to a fantastic start so far.
In the first half, the Tigers are currently enjoying a 14-0 lead over Steve Spurrier and company, and seem determined to make it to Atlanta for the SEC Title Game com December.
One of the aspects of this Missouri team that makes them so dangerous is the explosiveness of their offense. Even with their starting QB, James Franklin, out, freshman Maty Mauk has stepped right in and played admirably, and he’s done so again tonight.
Late in the second quarter, with about four minutes to go, Mauk dropped back into his own end zone and displayed just how effective he and this offense can be by hitting wide receiver L’Damian Washington on a 96-yard TD strike:
That certainly has the look of a team that means business in the almighty SEC, that’s for sure.
