Wake Forest punter fooled by fan blowing whistle (GIF)

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are hoping to pull off an upset over the Miami Hurricanes, but they were in a dangerous position despite having a four-point lead. The Demon Deacons needed to punt the ball out of their own endzone and punter Alex Kinal took the snap and just stood there.

Kinal looked around before the Hurricanes players wrapped him up.

It looked like Miami would be scoring the safety and getting the ball back, but the referees gathered together and made the decision to replay the down.

The refs ruled that fans in the crowd blew some whistles that tricked Kinal into thinking the refs blew the play dead, so it was disaster avoided for Wake Forest. For as little people as there are in the stadium and how loud the whistles were, you have some talented whistle-blowers in the Miami crowd.
