The San Francisco 49ers were off to a disappointing start to the season, but thanks to major performances by both Frank Gore and Vernon Davis, they have been able to right the ship.

The offensive coordinator of the 49ers, Greg Roman, spoke with NFL Media columnist, Michael Silver, about the team’s progression this season.

"“We are going to keep getting better and peak at the right time,” Roman told Silver."

The 49ers are 5-2 right now, and look to be getting better as Roman said. Aside from the blowout loss to their rival Seahawks, the 49ers have been looking pretty good the last few weeks.

Colin Kaepernick has seemed to return to his old form, a running quarterback. His legs have the ability to change the outcome of the game at any given point. It will be interesting to see if he can compete at the level he did last week when San Francisco played Tennessee.
