For the vast majority of Major League Baseball players, the final few days of October are extremely boring. You’re still a bit fresh off your season coming to an end, especially if you made the postseason and likely a bit envious that you’re not playing in the World Series.
After (including Spring Training) essentially playing nine months, it’s hard to quit the game you love.
Case in point? Cody Ross, who is watching his former team, the Boston Red Sox take on the St. Louis Cardinals in the Fall Classic. Focus on that key word, former. Ross, who spent the 2012 season with the Red Sox after leaving the San Francisco Giants is currently a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Apparently though, not a lot of bandwagon Red Sox fans are aware of that as the D’Backs outfielder has been spending the evening re-tweeting folks on Twitter who still think he’s on the Red Sox.
Bored? Clearly. But entertaining? You bet.
