The Green Bay Packers come into the game on top of the division with a 4-2 record. They’ll be looking to stay there with a win over the Minnesota Vikings, who have struggled this season. Quarterback Josh Freeman made his debut with the Vikings last week, and did not perform well. He completed 20 of 53 passes for 190 yards and an interception in a losing effort to the previously winless New York Giants.

Freeman suffered a concussion in that game though, and will be forced to sit out this game. That has Christian Ponder getting another shot to prove his worth at quarterback for the Vikings.

“At the quarterback position, you want to know who is going to be lining up week-in and week-out,” Frazier said. “But that’s the circumstance where we are and Christian will do a good job for us on Sunday night.”

Ponder has gotten the support of his teammates.

“It doesn’t matter who it is, we have to help him be successful and he has to help us be successful so it’s Christian this week, that’s who we’re rolling with, that’s who we’re rooting for,” wide receiver Greg Jennings said.
