It’s been a rough afternoon for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Not only does he have a hand that has swelled to the size of a giant, but he’s also taken a knee to the helmet, thanks to Jared Ordick of the Miami Dolphins.
Brady had the pocket collapse on him, resulting in a sack, where Odrick landed on top of the Patriots’ signal caller.
In Odrick’s desire to get up and celebrate, he attempted to raise up off Brady and in the process sent his knee right into the grill of the eventual Hall of Fame quarterback.
In fairness to the Dolphins and Odrick, it didn’t seem like there was any intent behind it – just an accidental thing that happened in Odrick’s exuberance. Still, I’m sure the Patriots and Brady were less than pleased with the free shot.
Thankfully, Brady didn’t appear to be any worse for the wear but I can’t imagine that felt all that good, even if it wasn’t the hardest blow to the dome.
