Joakim Noah told reporters after Sunday’s practice that he’s ‘100 percent’ ready to play against the Miami Heat on Tuesday. The Chicago Bulls center has been dealing with a groin injury and was considered questionable for the season opener, but he dispelled all worries that he’d be too hurt to take on Miami:
I feel pretty good. [Practice is] different than a game but I feel good and I’m really excited about Tuesday.
I think if my groin was still bothering me we’d have to talk about it because I didn’t want it to linger on all season. It would have been really tough to sit out a game that I’ve been waiting for all summer. I’ve been training for this game all summer. So it would have been tough but we got to think big picture (ESPN).
It is worth mentioning that Chicago head coach Tom Thibodeau did not confirm Noah would be in the lineup. He was also mum on the status of injured guard Kirk Hinrich.
