Yesterday, two new TV Spots for the upcoming sequel to 2012 blockbuster The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey entitled The Desolation of Smaug were released.
When we last left our friends The Dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and the great wizard Gandalf, they had successfully escaped the Misty Mountains, and Bilbo had found the “precious” One Ring.
In Desolation of Smaug, Thorin and the rest of the group will have to find their way to the Lonely Mountain where Bilbo will be tasked with seeking out the secret door that will grant them access to the hoard of the dragon Smaug.
In the first of the two TV Spots, we get a look inside the chamber of Smaug, and all of the gold that he “acquired” from the Dwarves. You can bet your bottom dollar he won’t be giving up his treasure or his acquired home without one heck of a fight.
We also start to see the disinterest that the elves have in assisting the Dwarves on their journey.

The second of the two new TV Spots concentrates a little more of the action in the film.
It starts out with a conversation between Bilbo and Gandalf. Just when you think he is going to tell Gandalf about what he found in the Goblin Tower, he flips the script and goes a completely different direction.
From there, we see a longer look at some of the enemies and armies that the group will have to get through in order to complete their mission. They will have to endure everything from a trip down a raging river to an oversized dog, huge spiders, and even a very irritated dragon.
