Oakland Raiders ready for all three Eagles QBs

Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick went down with a hamstring injury on Sunday.  While Vick underwent an MRI earlier Monday, results were still now known.

Vick described his injury as the worst hamstring issue he has ever had.

“I’ve never had a hamstring injury this bad,” the oft injured QB told the media after Sunday’s game.

It is also unclear whether or not backup quarterback Nick Foles would be able to go.  Foles suffered a concussion on October 20th against the Dallas Cowboys.

While the QB is making progress, he still has further testing to undergo before being declared eligible for play.

That leaves Matt Barkley as the only available option for the Eagles, and the Oakland Raiders will be prepared regardless of who they see this Sunday.

“The good news is we’ve seen all three of those quarterbacks play, so we’ve kind of got a feel for what they’re going to do with each quarterback,” Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said, according to CSN Bay Area’s Scott Bair. “We’ve seen what some of their strengths are and some of the vulnerabilities of each one of those guys are. We’ll have to look at it and kind of monitor that situation as we go along. Schematically, I don’t think that they’ll be a whole lot different based on who the quarterback is.”

Oakland is coming off a 21-18 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Eagles are coming off an all-round lackluster performance in a 15-7 loss to the New York Giants.
