Oregon Ducks land three-star linebacker Justin Hollins

Coming off a huge win over the then-No. 12 UCLA Bruins this past weekend, the Oregon Ducks received some great news on Monday when three-star linebacker/defensive end Justin Hollins announced his commitment to the Ducks. Hollins, out of Arlington, Texas, chose the Ducks over the nearby Oklahoma Sooners.

Here’s a brief Scout.com profile of Hollins:

Pure speed off of the edge is the strength of Hollins game. He is lightning quick off of the edge and if he retains that quickness and bulks up appropriately and adds more strength down the road as he matures then he could turn in to a real specimen. Shows great open field speed by chasing down backs. Has good swim move and a quick first step. Is also used as a tight end on offense and further shows his ability, athleticism and upside as a DE.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Hollins has an ideal build for a linebacker in Nick Aliotti’s defense. He’s the eleventh commit of Oregon’s 2014 recruiting class.
