After years and years of the Oregon Ducks retaining the state award for Team Most Able to Look Hideous on a Week to Week Basis, the Oregon State Beavers, fed up with not being visually offense, decided to rebrand this past off-season. The decision resulted in both a new logo that looks more like a nutria than a beaver and these awful uniforms. Previously kept in the equipment closet — probably to protect the eyesight of the innocent general public — the all-orange unis will finally make their 2013 debut when the Beavers host the USC Trojans on Friday.
(Click the links to check the uniforms out, but be warned that you should probably keep an ophthalmologist’s number handy.)
The Trojans, 5-3 on the season, are coming off a 19-3 win over the Utah Utes last weekend. They have struggled at Reser Stadium in the past, and this year’s Oregon State Fighting Traffic Cones team should provide some excellent competition.
