St. Louis Cardinals announcer laughed at Boston Red Sox for holding on Kolten Wong (Video)

On Sunday night, Game 4 of the 2013 World Series ended in a fashion that was almost as improbable as the shocking Game 3, obstruction finish.

If you missed it, pinch runner Kolten Wong (a rookie, mind you) was on first base, where he was picked off, ending the game. This of course with Carlos Beltran hitting, the same Beltran who is historically one of the best postseason players in the history of the game.

Needless to say, it was a heartbreaking moments for St. Louis fans.

However, moments before Wong was picked off first base, the St. Louis radio broadcast thought it was pretty hilarious that the Red Sox felt the need to hold Wong on.

Major League Baseball will allow local affiliates to broadcast World Series games on radio, so we could hear KMOX’s Mike Shannon laughing at the idea of holding on Wong, suggesting it was silly.

Things weren’t funny for very long as before Shannon could stop his chuckles, Wong was picked and the game was over.
